Tabu slams article claiming she said ‘No marriage, just want a man in bed’; disgusted actress’ team issues statement

Tabu is one Bollywood actress who has been entertaining her fans in films and now web series for decades now. The actress – who recently essayed the role of Sister Francesca in Dune: Prophecy, is currently in the news as an online website a rather controversial statement about her. The actress has now hit back at the publication for circulating the false statements under her name. Read on to know what she wrote.

For the unversed, an website called M9 News recently published an absolutely misogynistic article claiming that the Crew actress has said “she is not interested in marriage and only wants a man to sleep in bed with.” The controversial statements was soon picked up by some other websites and went viral. She has now slammed the publication for posting the demeaning article.

A while ago, Tabu’s management released a statement. It reads, “STOP PRESS! There are several websites and social media handles that have falsely attributed certain undignified statements to Tabu. We would like to clarify that she never made these quotes, and it is a serious breach of ethics to mislead the audience.” They added, “We demand that these websites remove the fabricated quotes immediately and issue a formal apology for their actions.”

The demeaning article opens with the statement, “Being classy and attractive after 50 is extremely tough for any Indian actress. Known for her classy persona, Tabu is known for her over-the-top looks at the age of 52 and still thrives to maintain her position as a top diva in Bollywood. As she still remains unmarried, she has cleared her intentions of making love.” It further read, “She stated that she is not interested in marriage and only wants a man to sleep in bed with… People reacted vibrantly to these statements stating how menopause affects the sexual desires of a woman at such an age.”
